I was searching on the Internet on recent events and I found some interesting facts about Administrative professionals Day. Administrative Professionals Day 2008 is on April 23. It is always observed on the Wednesday of the last week . For example, last year i.e Administrative Professionals Day, 2007 was on April 25. Administrative professionals Day was originally called the Secretary's day and organized in 1952 as National Secretaries Week” by the National Secretaries Association (presently called the International Association of Administrative Professionals or IAAP) along with public relation executive Harry Klemfuss and a consortium of office product manufacturers. The sole purpose of the event was to appreciate the secretaries and administrative Professionals. The IAAP is the only official sponsor of Administrative Professionals Week and Administrative Professional Day. IAAP suggests that employers should observe the Administrative Professionals Day by conducting seminars for the administrative staff and other similar events.
